Presidential advisor and military general Ali Mohsen apologized to the people of the south on his Facebook wall for participating in “unfair wars of the former regime.”

Mohsen said that unity was not the main obstacle and that real unity means a unified religion, language and identity, regardless of a population’s differences.

He concluded his speech by calling all southerners and northerners to come together to support President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi. He said the country must solve the southern issue, and expressed optimism about the National Dialogue Conference.
