The number of victims in clashes between the Islah party and Houthi-affiliated groups at the Al-Taiseer Mosque has risen to eight injured, including four policemen. Military sources have stated that the Yemeni committee for military affairs approved holding campaigns for removing military checkpoints affiliated with political parties in the different provinces. Sources added that calmness had returned to the adjacent streets and shops had reopened for customers.
The clashes took place while security forces were preparing military units to finish armed manifestations throughout Yemen’s governorates. These units will be also charged with the prevention of all sabotage against power cables and oil pipelines.
