The International Community Continues its Support for Yemenis

At the closing ceremony of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) international community praised the historic victory achieved by Yemenis in the success of the NDC and walk forward until the country’s access to the modern States and their presence in the occasion is a proof that they will continue to support Yemen.

Karen Sasahara, U.S deputy chief of mission said that it is a huge victory for the people of Yemen and the most important thing is that Yemenis stayed determined. “With the spirit of cooperation they achieved this stage and we are so excited for we are sharing this occasion with Yemenis. It is a great honor as a part of the international community to provide support to Yemen and we will continue to support the political process in Yemen,” she said.

From her part, Bettina Muscheidt EU ambassador said that Yemen is part of the international community and its security and stability is the stability of the whole world.  Bettina said that Yemen is a history and civilization that has a historical place characterized by wisdom and rationality “ that has been demonstrated in the NDC where powers dealt with thorny issues rationally and gained the trust of the people to derive the outputs from the people and according to the national interest,” she said.

French Ambassador to Yemen Frank Gellet said that the celebration was an international consensus for the Yemeni achievement journey of peaceful change towards making a bright future for Yemen despite all the difficulties.

Gellet called to expedite the drafting of the new Yemeni constitution to ensure security and stability within the country. French Ambassador added that the international community and the Security Council have an important role in the success of the NDC, and it was a guarantee of success through supervision and support in all its forms and direct supervision by the envoy of the Secretary- General Jamal Benomar.

The Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States, Dr. Abdullah Latif Al-Zayani, expressed his hope that they will translate the outputs into reality leading to the desired change and reform.

“Through its participation, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) stressed the support of the political process in Yemen and its outputs implementation and the transition to the modern civil state, ” Al-Zayani said.

On the other hand, Ahmed Bin Helli, Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, said that the great gain today represented in the implementation of the NDC outcomes and its decisions with the support of the Unified Nation, Arab League, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and members of the UN Security Council.
