Hamad Medical city in TAIZ

Yemeni Prime Minister Mohamed Basindawa and Qatari Ambassador to Yemen Mohamed bin Hamad al-Hajri placed the cornerstone of Hamad Medical City in the Taizz governorate on Friday.
A number of GCC officials and Yemeni cabinet members attended the ceremony. The Yemeni officials expressed their gratitude to HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani for the initiative that will benefit Yemeni people for years to come.
For his part, Yemeni Prime Minister Basindawa praised the role the State of Qatar plays in support of Yemen in all fields. He lauded Qatar’s commitment to peace and stability in Yemen. He also praised the strong bilateral relations which is reflected in Qatar’s effort in helping Yemen recover economically.
Yemeni Minister of Health Dr Ahmed Qasem al-Ansi told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that Hamad Medical City will be a marked improvement in the medical services provided by Yemen. He added that, in addition to providing medical service to 6mn Yemenis, it will provide thousands of job opportunities for the Yemeni youth.
