President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi launched on Sunday adigital map project for whole country. It is part of a wider strategic project of development, and includes the structures engaging in the fields of health, education, agriculture, and security, along with various future services.
Five imaging planes were used to take more than 30, 000 aerial photographs including multipurpose maps of various scales according to the information required. The project was carried out by German company Furqo Maps under the supervision of Yemen’s Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
President Hadi hailed all efforts to carry out the project, which he considered to be unique in the region. It will cost YR 1 billion.
