Yemeni Child Wins Best Painting in Sharjah

The Yemeni child, Ahmed Hussein Hajeb, only 11 years old, has won the prize for best art painting in the Annual Competition for Free Drawings in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

According to media sources, Ahmed studies in the third grade in one of Sharjah’s schools and competed with 150 other students from different nationalities for the best painting about environmental awareness on the dangers of smoking.

The painting was chosen for the Dubai Winter Exhibition, which will be held during the month of November, as the best painting of 2014-2015.

His father explained that his son was honored by officials of the event and the school administration with a gold medal given to amateurs of free drawings for children in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

It is worth mentioning that Ahmed retuned to Aden to visit relatives after giving him an open winter holiday from the school for his win.
