A group of youth and politicians have called for a protest against the abduction of Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak by Houthi militants. The protest will take place in front of Azal University in Sana’a on Monday morning, January 19th, 2015. The call for the protest is open to all, including local and international media channels.
The protest will take place under the slogans of ‘Freedom for Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak’ and ‘We Are All Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak’. Groups of activists shared different messages to influence the Houthi group to free Bin Mubarak. The call for a protest come after the expiration of a notice made by the tribes of the south who gave the kidnappers 24 hours to free Bin Mubarak.
Bin Mubarak is the right hand of President Hadi and he is the first person in Hadi’s office. Bin Mubarak severed as the general secretariat of the National Dialogue and he is now the director of the presidency office.
