Yemen’s national army and the popular resistance have liberated Al Gail village, the last important stronghold of the Houthi militia and forces loyal to the deposed president Ali Abdullah Saleh in the Governorate of Al Jawf, a military source has said.

”The national army and resistance fighters, backed by the Arab Coalition’s jet fighters, launched an offensive on Saturday morning on the sites of the Houthi militia in Al Gail, in which they liberated the village,” the Yemeni official news agency quoted the military source as saying.

He added that scores of rebels were killed and wounded, while dozens escaped the battlefield.
