For the second time in days, a U.S. navy ship has been targeted by missiles fired from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, Reuters reported Oct. 12. On Oct. 9, two missiles were aimed at a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer just north of the Bab al-Mandab strait off Yemen’s southern coast but missed their target. The U.S. ship did not return fire. An Emirati ship was also targeted last week. The attacks come as the United States re-evaluates its support of Saudi Arabia’s campaign in Yemen, amid allegations of massive civilian casualties caused by Saudi strikes.
