Studies and Economic Media Center (SEMC) organized a training course for young Journalists in Sana’a on media coverage during conflicts in collaboration with the Yemen-based European Union Delegation.

The training is the second course of the Young Journalists’ Capacity Building Program that aims to give trainees skills related to media coverage during conflicts in order to provide correct information for the reader in appropriate style.

Nasr clarified that youth especially journalists were the first in asking for change and the leaders of political and social changes, so they should carried knowledge to continue this rule.

This workshop is just one of the many the courses implemented by the SEMC and EU Delegation. The full training program is targeting over 120 young male and female journalists and involves four courses focusing on journalistic values, professionalism, impartial coverage and war and conflict coverage. In addition to this, the courses touch upon photography skills, video production, and how to utilize them efficiently in new media.
