Students at Sana’a University started holding demonstrations at the campus and demanded a number of things to improve their welfare. Demonstrators marched around the different colleges of Sana’a University and stopped in front of the university’s head office. Students demanded the cancellation of the parallel system and to correct the path of educational processes, starting with the removal of all corrupt and inefficient staff and leaders. They also demanded the removal of political party control over the students’ general union and make it an advocate for the needs of students. In addition to this, they requested that all security forces be removed from the campus and replace them with civil security. Demonstrations will continue for a full week.
