Al-Qaeda-linked groups are threatening the execution of the 75 soldiers if the government does not release a list of prisoners. Reports state that the government has negotiated with the militants to release the 75 soldiers.
In this regard, human right activists and media members requested the official authorities to take serious and quick actions to save the lives of the soldiers.
The 75 soldiers were arrested after a comprehensive strike launched by Al-Qaeda on the camp of 139 Brigade resulting in the death of 103 soldiers and the arrest of 75 others. Information about the arrested soldiers are not accessible. Observers believe they are subjected to execution at any moment.
