Street vendors demand seats in National Dialogue

By: Mohammed Al-Jumaeei

The Street Vendors’ Syndicate has demanded that the National Dialogue committees grant them seats in the planned conference. The syndicate is set to hold a press conference in the coming days to further clarify its position.

Syndicate Chairman Fath Al-Jassar said, “Our syndicate represents a wide segment of Yemenis and we have 18,000 members in Sana’a alone.”

Al-Jassar said that if the National Dialogue failed to answer the requests of such low-income segments, it would certainly fail.

“Politicians and economists will not solve our problems – but by listening to our demands and giving us our rights, it can be achieved,” said Al-Jassar.
