President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi warned against taking into consideration the aims of any dialogue conference outside the country’s official National Dialogue Conference (NDC). Hadi directed his speech toward ambassadors of Gulf countries.
In a meeting with ambassadors representing the ten Gulf state sponsors of the GCC initiative, Hadi confirmed that the dialogue is still open to whatever group wants to join.
“The decisions, procedures and steps taken, along with the military restructuring decrees, were necessary to provide a suitable atmosphere for the NDC.
The conference is progressing and achieving success as working groups start their field visits in different provinces, said Hadi. The conference will eventually lead to the writing of a new constitution.
“They need to find out the root of these issues, only this will save us time and deliver results,” the president stated.
Yemen is on its way towards a safer and more stable future, Hadi said.
