Local sources say that tribesmen have blown up oil pipelines in the Sarwah directorate of Marib province. Sheikh of the Al-Hajm tribe Ali Saleh Taieman threatened to attack power cables and oil pipelines if authorities did not respond to what he claimed to be legal demands. “Our directorate suffers power cuts for more than a week and authorities did not pay our problem any more attention,” he reported. It is worth mentioning that armed men attacked nearby power cables, causing loss of power in the directorate.
