The Central Statistical Organization in Yemen has predicted that the population in Yemen will reach 26 million by the end of coming year. The organization inaugurated their annual report for 2012 and showed that the population recorded a rise of 800,000 people each year since 2005 to 2012. “We recorded 19,983,000 people in 2005 which increased to 23,154,000 people in 2010,” stated the report. It also noted that the population will reach 25,952,000 by the end of 2014. The report showed that the number of families in Yemen is almost 3,434,000, most of them in Taiz province, followed by Hodeida and Sana’a.
