Yemen prepares for World Trade Organization membership

According to the Announcement of Industry Trade Minister Saad Eddin Bin Taleb, Yemen will finally join the World Trade Organization after 13 years of negotiation. The accession document will be signed this coming Wednesday.

Yemen will become the 160th member of the Organization; the signing will take place on the island of Bali, Indonesia.

Taleb added that there are still local steps to be taken involving the house speaker, ministers captaincy, and President Hadi to complete this 13-year process.

Taleb considers Yemen’s accession to the Organization a chance for youths to expand their job opportunities and to invest in different fields, especially in Yemen’s economic development.
