Security Committee to Prevent the Movement of Motorcycles Beginning Tonight

Thamar police began to do security measures preparing to apply the decision of the security committee to prevent the movement of motorcycles from eight o’clock at night to six o’clock in the morning starting from the 25th of January.  

The General Manager of the provincial police, Gen. Abdul-Karim al-Adini, explained that the security committee have made a decision; because of the dangerous accidents that have happened recently and in the past. As a result of spreading the motorcycles in the capital, for example using some terrorist elements through motorcycles to assassinate the security leaders as well as the noise and traffic violations that are caused from these motorbikes.

Al-adini emphasized that the directives issued to all security and military units to increase organizing patrols in various city streets to implement this decision from the 25th of January 2014, warning all owners of motorcycles to stop riding their motorbikes during this specific period.   

Al-adini calls all the owners of motorcycles and citizens to cooperate with police and to report about any irregularities in order to help the police take the appropriate security measures.
