The Japanese consulate, who escaped an abduction attempt in mid-December has returned to continue his diplomatic mission in Sana’a. Mr. Sotomine, considers the incident to be unethical, and emphasized that it will never affect his country’s support for Yemen.
“Yemen enjoys special attention among the Japanese community. The support of Japan to Yemen will continue, and I returned to Yemen to accomplish my diplomatic mission in a beautiful country.”
Mr. Sotomine, paid a visit to Hassan al-Kabous the chairman of Sana’a Chamber of Industry and Commerce to express his appreciation for the published letter of apology to the Japanese people over the barbaric attack that happened to him while he was on the way to work.
Al-Kabous presented the sword of bravery to Sotomine as a souvenier. The Japanese consular praised the good effort of al-Kabous group for enhancing trade between Yemen and Japan, especially since Yemen is the homeland of the now international coffee trade.
