Houthi militiamen freed today afternoon (Tuesday) Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak the abducted chief of staff of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi. Bin Mubarak was handed over to a big Shaikh in Shabwa after an extensive negotiation with Houthi after 10 days of illegal arrest.
Bin Mubarak was later taken to the capital Sana’a as per the call of tribal Shaikh request. on its last issues Monday, January 26th,National Yemen,calls for the immediate release of Dr.Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak ,The executive chief of staff of the resigned President , As well for the freedom of his bodyguards who were kidnapped from Sana’a ten days ago.
Bin Mubarak release comes one day after UN envoy Jamel Benomar met with Houthi leaders, as he sought to broker an agreement following Hadi s offer to resign, UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said Monday.
The presidential chief of staff was abducted on January 17, apparently in a bid by the militia to extract changes to a draft constitution.
