Houthi Militants Dissolve Parliament, Take Full Power

Houthi militants announced their full takeover of the country Friday afternoon, they have dissolved parliament and established new presidential council to run Yemeni affairs.

In a televised statement, the Houthi militia said it was also forming a 551-member national council to replace parliament.

Houthi’s announcement comes after the failure negotiation with Yemen political parties who did not approve Houthies calls. People loyal to Houthi militants celebrated the announcement on Sana’a and Sa’ada with fireworks.
