Houthi militia announced Saturday the formation of a “security commission”, including former ministers. They announced the defence and interior ministers in the resigned government at the top list of 18 security commission.
The security commission “will lead the country’s affairs until the establishment of a presidential council,” said the statement. It said the commission would be chaired by General Mahmud al-Subaihi, defence minister in the resigned government of Bahah who offered to resign on January 22 under the pressure from the Houthis.
The approval of al-Subaihi to lead the security commission has come after a couple of days negotiations with Houthi militants.
