The Islamic Relief Organization in Yemen (IRY) is continuing to launch the campaigns of the Two Holy Mosques Custodian for immediate relief around Yemen.
Last week, IRY concluded the second session of the campaign’s first phase in which they distributed food aid to more than 15,000 families from seven provinces.
The beneficiary families were selected according to field surveys conducted by IRY staff using Social Security lists filtered and updated by direct visits to the targeted areas. Food baskets included different kinds of food in order to meet the needs of an average family for a whole month.
IRY is one of three international aid organizations that are responsible for distributing aid to nearly a quarter million Yemeni citizens in coordination with local organizations and local authorities.
