Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi met Thursday with Turkish Ambassador Fazli Corman in Aden, who came into show his government’s support for Hadi’s legitimacy
“The meeting tackled the latest development issues in Yemen and the concern of Turkey for Yemen’s safety and stability,”
Ambassador Corman wished to establish a fruitful cooperation in different aspects between Yemen and Turkey for social, economic, educational, and political relations.
Earlier last month, Turkey urged its citizens to leave Yemen due to the worsening security situation. By February, the Turkish Ambassador and mission suspend their diplomatic activities after ensuring necessary security measures for Turkish citizens in Yemen.
The evacuation came a few days after the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Gulf countries made similar evacuations.
“The Turkish Embassy will restart its activities when security, public order, national dialogue and reconciliation based on legitimate state authority are established in Yemen,” said the Ambassador.
Turkey has reiterated a travel warning for its citizens, which the Foreign Ministry issued on Saturday, calling on its citizens to immediately leave the country.
American, British, Russians, KSA, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Turkish ambassador have confirm their support of Hadi’s legitimacy following a meeting with him in Aden.
