Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmad bin Daghar on Saturday cautioned the oil companies against striking any deals with the militia rebels in Sanaa.
“Firms that violate this warning will face legal and financial punitive measures,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted the Premier as saying after a cabinet meeting in the temporary capital city of Aden.
Meanwhile, he highlighted the need of the energy investors ensuring sustained supplies of oil and gas in order to shore up the Yemeni economy.
Bin Daghar affirmed that preparations are underway to resume oil and gas production from the fields located in the liberated areas, particularly in liberated governorates.
