Coalition praised for avoiding civilian casualties in Yemen

GCC Secretary General urges UN to use reliable sources of information for writing reports

Dubai: Abdul Latif Bin Rashid Al Zayani, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), has said that the Saudi-led military Coalition Supporting Legitimacy in Yemen is doing all it can to avoid harming civilians and children in Yemen, reiterating the Coalition’s commitment to follow international humanitarian laws in military operations.

The GCC Secretary-General rejected a UN report blaming Coalition forces for civilian deaths in Yemen.

Al Zayani said the UN used ‘unreliable sources loyal to Al Houthis’ to write the report. He urged the UN to use reliable sources of information for writing the reports.
